Workshop Version History

March 2026

2026.03.16

  • MSPM0
    • Verified that the MSPM0G3507 labs build with the latest version of CCS v20.5.0 and the latest SDK v2.10.00.04
    • Fixed typo in MSPM0 lab 5a writeup.
    • Added example description PDF for MSM0 Lab 5b. This description points out the changes made to example 5b and what to expect when running the project.
    • MSPM0 SDK version 2.10 broke compatibility with CCSv12 by requiring a new version of the System Config tool.
      • CCSv20 (Theia project) has been available for the life of MSPM0, so we have found very few M0 users on CCSv12.
      • With that in mind -- and the new compatibility break -- we don’t plan to test future MSPM0 SDK revisions against CCSv12.
  • C2000
    • CCS v20.5.0 and C2000ware v26 (new numbering scheme for 2026)
      • Works fine for MCU workshops
      • Fails for FreeRTOS labs. (Appears to be error in C2000ware.)
  • SimpleLink
    • CC1352 and CC2340 labs build fine with CCS v20.5.0 and the latest SDKs

February 2026

2026.02.10

  • Verified latest SDK releases with CCS v20.4.1. Using these software versions, we were able to build all of the lab/example files in the MCU and FreeRTOS workshops.
    • MSPM0 - SDK v2.09.00.01
    • CC1352 - SDK v8.32.00.07
    • CC2340 - SDK v9.14.01.16

  • Upon further examination, the C2000 projects do build SUCCESSFULLY using the latest version of CCS (CCS v20.4.1). The generate a number of extraneous warning messages, but the projects build okay. Since TI's own examples exhibit the same warnings, it appears to be a minor problem with their software library. See the following screen capture for the warning messages we received.

November 2025
